{Gifts} Traditionally the bride and groom spend a fun-filled day scanning stuff with a nifty little scanner at their favorite store in order to register for gifts. While we are sad to miss out on the scanning fun, we have decided not to register. Since we will be moving in the next year or so, we would rather not store and then move all of the goodies that you are itching to give to us on our wedding day. In the spirit of the recent trend to “go green” we ask that you contribute to our trip fund in lieu of traditional gifts. If this offends you, we are truly sorry, but we are trying to be practical since our space is quite limited at home. If you insist upon getting more creative than stuffing some green in a card and calling it a day, here are some things that we like: going to restaurants ({Meme} is our favorite), drinking wine, travelling and going to concerts. If you desire, you can send us a donation toward our trip around the world using the button below: {Food} Unlike the airplane food that we will be subjected to on our trip around the world, our celebration dinner will hopefully be one of the best meals you’ve ever tasted! We spent a lot of time working closely with {Susanna Foo} and her son Gabriel in order to create a fun and creative meal that will please everyone. The evening will include a leisurely 6-course meal that will combine both unique and familiar flavors and dishes. If you have any special dietary needs, please note them in your online {RSVP form} and we will do our best to meet those needs. {Music} We are music freaks! Although we didn't initially plan for dancing, there will be fabulous live music provided by {Dan May} (the band that Katie manages), {Alfred James} and {Liz Longley} in between dinner courses. Dancing will naturally follow upon request (and sufficient intoxication) near the end of the evening. Throughout the night we will be playing recorded music over the venue speakers, so let us know in your RSVP if you have any music requests! {Directions} View Larger Map |
